Grammy-award-winning music producer DJ Black Coffee took to Twitter and shared words of encouragement for other men, with a series of quotes. This comes after he expressed his feelings, saying he isn’t okay.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, he went on to reveal why he wasn’t feeling okay he wrote: “The day my ex [wife Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa] accused me of physically harming her, nothing was the same”.
Amid calls for men to be more open about their stresses and battles with mental health, the DJ said he still carries “pain and shame” after his ex-wife accused him of physically abusing her.
After going public in 2010, DJ Black Coffee and Enhle Mbali wasted no time in proving to the world that they were serious about each other, and the following year, Enhle Mbali, officially became Mrs Maphumulo, after having their traditional wedding at her home in Soweto.
However, after unsuccessfully trying to make their marriage work, the two called it quits on their marriage of eight years and filed for divorce with Enhle Mbali citing infidelity on DJ Black Coffee’s part for the divorce and she also claimed that the DJ had physically assaulted her.
