Jacobeth has been heart broken by what Kganyago had done to her. When Kganyago ran away, he did not take his clothes. Whenever Jacobeth looks at those clothes, she was reminded of Kganyago. She decided to take a refuse bag to gather all of Kganyago’s clothes. She took those clothes and put them in the refuse bag. Her aim was to burn them.

 
She then asked Lizzy to help her to burn the clothes. Lizzy opened the plastic bags to see what was inside and she saw that those clothes were expensive. She then told her mother not to burn the clothes. She told her that they should sell them instead and that way, they will be able to get some money. Jacobeth did not know that it was possible to sell the clothes but she agreed because she wanted her money back. She then showed Lizzy the ring and asked her if it would also help and she agreed.
