The news of the passing of Mandlenkosi Maphumulo , known as ‘ Mampintsha ‘ broke the hearts of many of his followers . The SABC news highlighted that the family of the late artist confirmed that burial was expected to take place on Friday .This was after the 40-year-old died in hospital at the past weekend . He had been admitted in hospital after suffering from stroke following a performance .

Information at the disposal of the SABC suggested that the artist suffered a second stroke when he had been hospitalised in a Durban hospital . Mbongeni Simelane , who is the father of the late artist’s wife pointed out that they would support the Maphumulo family all the way until the end .

He expressed gratitude for the assistance that was being issued to the family . Although the day of the funeral has been set for Friday , the venue is yet to be announced . There is an expectation for the Memorial Service to be held on Thursday at Bishop Dube’s Church . It was stated that everyone was welcome to attend the ceremony .

The death of Mampintsha is a big loss for South African music. Talent has been lost and it will be difficult to find someone who will entertain people in the way he used to . The loss is also a huge one for the deceased’s family . He recently got married , and left behind a young child .
