Gwede Mantashe tells me on #TheCMShow he didn’t accuse De Ruyter of overthrowing gov but the whole of eskom. I ask if that was fair. He mentions that during Brian Molefe & Matshela Koko’s terms, Loadshedding wasn’t this bad. “And they were not burning diesel like it’s burned now”
Mr you are a man of good talent, incl your jive moves I am absolutely liking your demeanor decorum & strategy conducting interviews on @Newzroom405. Your questions, including follow-ups, are really very impressive. The interview with KZN chair is one of the many good ones. He must bw careful, those branches won’t protect him from real ANC owners who through their finances controls everything, he must apologize to De Ruyter and ask him to withdraw the resignation. So, he won’t say Brian And Koko Ended Load shedding. He would rather say it wasn’t that bad, or you are intentionally misquoting him. We can argue the way we want, but the only truth is that Brian Molefe and Matshela Koko gave us electricity. Iqiniso liyababa and some people can’t handle the truth, the FACT is they stopped load shedding anything else go argue with de Ruyter who introduced Stage 6.
Although I agree with the sentiments, one cannot unfortunately compare the past with present due to a lot of factors growth vs. demand also plays a role. R1m is nothing now as compared to last 5 years. Contextualize your argument so that we can have a meaningful engagement. This blind/ill-informed defense must never be allowed to get narrated unopposed. This is such a weak argument that they keep making. Yes, there was still load-shedding. Eskom just looked profitable still because they weren’t doing critical maintenance. Which is why we are where we are now. They deferred the chaos.
