R.I.P| She Sadly Died In The Hands Of Her Lover, This Is What He Did To Her

Marriam Makane, a 26-year-old lady from Mabopane, was allegedly brutally murdered by her lover over the weekend. Violence against women is occurring at an alarming pace, and we may even deduce that some of its causes arise from the government’ failure to tighten the laws governing the safety and protection of women and children.

Even when there is a clear indication that the culprit poses a threat to society, bail is still being considered.

Her body was dumped in a graveyard in Garankuwa. The past demonstrates how little these individuals understand the law, as the suspect or perpetrator commits the crime, then flees or stays put until they are apprehended, and only after they are apprehended do they realize the gravity of their actions and the severity of the consequences for murdering another person.

She was stabbed multiple times with a bottle; this is a clear case of a crime of passion, but it does not justify the actions of the perpetrator. His arrest is a good thing because now the victim’s family can rest easy knowing that the person who murdered or harmed their loved one has been dealt with decisively.

The alleged offender tied her to the car; the cruel method in which this individual murdered his girlfriend is unforgivable, and we can rest convinced that the court will consider it and add it to his sentence, as he did not kill her by accident but rather planned and carried out his plan.

It is alleged that the police refused to make the arrest after the perpetrator abused the victim and damaged her family’s home in the past, and this is a clear indication that the actions of the police are also responsible for the murders, because by not following the law and arresting the individual and charging him with the destruction of property, they demonstrated to him that there is no law and that he will likely get away with any crime he commits.

The suspect was apprehended in Mmakau, close to Garankuwa. It is unclear whether he was attempting to evade the authorities for committing this heinous crime or simply believed nothing would happen to him.
