Meet Leisa La Maisa the Limpopo comedian and his beautiful partner

Social media star Madibr Mahlatji, who goes by the name Leisa La Maisa and identifies as leisa, rose to prominence in 2019 after friends filmed him parodying a conflict between Zulu- and Pedi-speaking taxi drivers at a Germiston cab stand.

Leisa, a self-made comedian from Ga-Mphahlele in Limpopo, mzansi, is 36 years old. His broken Zulu has made him a hit with the locals.

His second voice recording, in which he joked about Malwede hitmaker King Monada, went viral. In it, he said that King Monada shouldn’t visit Ga Sekhukhune because its residents wear expensive clothing and can’t afford to be “rolling on the ground” with it.

Many South Africans came to love and respect him. Soon after his voice recordings went viral, he began receiving requests to serve as the master of ceremonies (MC) at weddings and other events in Limpopo.

As both a businessman and a politician, he said he was initially hesitant to accept the position. He worried that his clients would judge him negatively for his comedic talents.

Now that he’s taken the job, he’s able to support himself with it. With the success of his business, he can command fees anywhere from R10,000 to R20,000 for a single public appearance.

Beyond his native Limpopo, people are beginning to recognize and appreciate his talent. Leisa just released some cute new photos of him and his significant other, and they look fantastic.
