According to Sowetan, the musician Hlosiwe Mthalane, DJ Hlo, who rose to prominence after winning Ukhozi FM’s summer song of the year in 2021, is set to appear in Uzalo on SABC1 next week.

The musician tells the publication that she has always wanted to act in a TV production, and that being a part of Uzalo has reignited a childhood dream of becoming an actress.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mthalane will play herself and be one of the judges in the SABC 1 soapie’s talent search competition.

The DJ also mentions that she recently shot the talent search scene for the Stained Glass TV production.

Nomfundo Zondi, Uzalo’s publicist, confirms to the publication that the DJ has landed a role in the SABC1 soapie.

“I confirm that DJ Hlo will appear on Uzalo. And she will start appearing on the show next week.”

The DJ also tells Sowetan that she hopes to begin appearing in the soapie early next week and is looking forward to seeing how her fans react to her appearance.
