He is a graduate at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He runs the Phiwe Ukufunda programme that caters for the needy. He has four wives MaCele, MaNgwabe, MaKhumalo and MaYeni and blessed with ten beautiful children. He is very supportive and knows how to balance his busy schedule and his family.

He is known for his reality show Uthando Nes’thembu and Mnakwethu on Mzansi Magic. He is in charge of the rural areas at the Ugu District Municipality, where he works in community development.
