The actor Abdul Khoza wrote a moving letter to his fans. He said that quitting The Wife, where he portrayed Nqoba Zulu, wasn’t his decision in a cleverly worded Facebook post.
He pleaded with the audience to realize that he had no power to alter or persuade any program to maintain any of his characters.
He then expressed regret to everyone harmed by his departure.
I’d want to thank everyone who backed my art, the author writes in his message. Additionally, I want to express my appreciation to everyone who supported me whilst I was filming The Wife.
“I adore you and always will. I also want to express my regret to everyone I may have offended by leaving. Unluckily, no character creates their own plot. Therefore, please realize that after the script has been created, I am powerless to alter or persuade any production to retain any of my characters.
“Right now, I’m only an actress, but I hope we cross paths again soon. I will always feel honored and humbled by our viewers’ devotion, and we value each and every one of you. I’m grateful, lovely Mzansi,” he wrote.
His fans accepted his message and apologies, and he also wished him well.
