Dr Tumi, formerly whose legal name is Tumisang Victor Makweya, was arrested yesterday for allegedly defrauding the National Lottery Commission R1.5 million. According to media reports, the organization in which Dr Tumi and his wife were directors in falsified documents when they were applying for funding.
2) Lusanda Mcinga
Lusanda Mcinga is a veteran South African gospel singer and leader of Lusanda Spiritual Group that was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Lusanda was arrested in 2011 along with other several accomplices after they assaulted 25-year-old street vendor Mzoli Vusani who was selling pirated CDs. Lusanda appeared in the Butterworth magistrate court in the Eastern Cape on charges of kidnapping, robbery and assault and she was released on R500 bail. The verdict of her court case was not made available to the public.
3) Lynnzay Baatjies
Lynnzay is a gospel singer who became popular through singing for South African gospel music group, Joyous Celebrations. She was arrested in 2017, this after she was accused of stealing lingerie at a clothing store in Rosebank. She was taken to Rosebank police station an released on R500 bail.
