The latest justification given by Nomvelo for quitting her position on Scandal are as follows: “I am still quite young.”

Actress Nomvelo Makhanya, 26, told the Daily Sun that when she was younger, she left the television soapie in search for “greener pastures”. The SAFTA-winning actress who spent ten years portraying the beloved character of Lindiwe Ngema bid the character farewell last Thursday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Surely nobody expected me to stay in one place for more than 10 years, did they. I’m a really young person. I have a lot of places and things I want to explore.Greener pastures only”, she told Daily Sun.

”The past ten years have been incredible for me. I’ll always be grateful to Scandal for giving me a stage on which to display my abilities. I learned a lot, had a great time and enjoyed myself immensely. I got to work alongside legends. It has just been a privilege.”
