South African actress Thuthuka Mthembu famously known as Nonka in Uzalo, is a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. She has been part of the cast for several years now and has become a household name because of that role. Her character, Nonka had been through highs and lows on the show, and recently, she flaunted an A-lister lifestyle on the soapie driving fancy cars and being spoiled rotten. The character of Nonka that Thuthuka takes on has been through a lot of pain because of love because of her background. She met someone from a low-income family in the township and fell in love with Sbonelo, a doctor. However, her mother-in-law disapproved of her upbringing and family and found another wife for her son. Nonka called it quits and went back to school, where she was ridiculed for being older than most of her classmates.

Recently the actress met a man she thought was her Prince charming and fell in love with him. He would spoil her and even buy her a car as a gift while wining and dining with her nonstop. She moved from the township to a better neighbourhood because of her boyfriend’s money.

Nonka was blind to the fact that her boyfriend got his money through illegal ways and he was dealing drugs and only found out when the police found drugs at her shop and arrested her. Only when he was caught did the truth come out, and she had to move back to her home.

In real life, Thuthuka Mthembu shared a series of posts on Instagram showing that she doesn’t need a man to spoil her to buy herself an expensive car. She showed off in June a new BMW car that she had bought for herself in an appreciative post where she thanked God for her new set of wheels. She said that God is the one who spoils her rotten and went on to say she will play Umsebenzi Wethu as much as she wants because it is her car.

Her role in Uzalo may be that of a hardworking girl from a poor background, but in real life, she is not that. She is hardworking and had a comfortable upbringing, and can afford to spoil herself from time to time.
