Sympathies have poured in from around the world for quite possibly of Africa’s most well known performer Davido, after his three-year-old child unfortunately suffocated in a pool at his home in Lagos on Monday night.

The BBC reports that Nigerian police have affirmed that Ifeanyi Adeleke suffocated at the 29-year-old Afro-pop star’s home. Davido and his life partner (and mother of Ifeanyi), gourmet expert Chioma Rowland, have not yet given an explanation, but rather it is accepted that they were not home at the hour of the misfortune.

Eight homegrown specialists have been taken in (not captured) by neighborhood police for addressing and to give their record of what occurred. Staff had called the police at around 22h00.
