Maphosa strangle kgosi, because currently Kgosi is trying to blackmail Lehasa Maphosa and he promised Lehasa Maphosa that he will go to court to support him.

And Lehasa Maphosa believes that Kgosi is the only person who could save himself since he was Fannie’s biggest friend, so now as Kgosi wants to change his mind because he wants Job and he wants Lehasa to make him a manager even though is unprofessional, it is clear that Kgosi wants to start blackmailing Lehasa Maphosa since he knows his secrets.

 
So Lehasa immediately after realising that Kgosi wants to blackmail him, he lost control and strangle him, because he wanted to warn him about what he is trying to do, because Fannie also started demanding until he crosses the line.
