A romantic proposal was witnessed by concertgoers at a recent Kelly Khumalo gig. The ‘Empini’ singer temporarily interrupted her performance to assist Judy Leshabane in proposing to her girlfriend. “Guys, hundreds of you, I adore this woman and have one question for her. Will you please do me the honor of making me the happiest woman? Would you mind marrying me?” Judy said much to a rousing applause from the crowd. Kelly then sang ‘Ngathwala Ngaye,’ which had her bouncing up and down in delight, the love song was recorded by the 37-year-old with Mondli Ngcobo.

Judith Leshabane made sure that dropping down on one knee to propose to the lady of her dreams was dramatic and memorable. She had planned to propose to her four-month girlfriend, Bonisiwe Fernandez, three weeks ago, but their plan of travelling on vacation and her popping the question on a boat tour did not come to fruition. Kelly Khumalo, her favorite artist, was scheduled to play at Meropa Casino in her home region of Limpopo, according to a friend.
