The former Orlando Pirates star Senzo Meyiwa’s case hasn’t ended following numerous delays caused by the lack of evidence in the past. What’s devastating is that it’s almost decade ever since his untimely death that occurred at his former girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s home in Vosloorus. As it was reported that he was fatally shot by intruders that allegedly wanted their belongings on the East Rand. Even though there was numerous people present at that time of Meyiwa’s death, but not much has been said by the witnesses. However, things have taken a left turn as some individuals decided to come out to speak their truth in the long-term trial.

 

 

 

As it’s believed that Meyiwa was allegedly shot by his ex-partner Khumalo after an argument broke out between them following rumours that he was suspected of cheating with the former Rhythm City star’s sister Zandile Gumede. According to Sowetanlive.co.za, Zandie was just a distraction since the former Bafana shot-stopper wasn’t getting some quality time with Kelly since she was mostly busy with her music career and constantly traveling. It’s believed that Meyiwa wasn’t pleased with how his relationship with Kelly was headed as it was no longer the same due to their busy schedules. ”I put it to you that a witness will testify that Kelly told Zandi to guard Senzo while she was busy with her music issues,” said Advocate Timothy Thobane speaking to the media.

The defence witness is believed to have the key components that will help this neverending trial find the core parts of Meyiwa’s death. As it was reported that Kelly decided to have someone guarding Meyiwa throughout his whereabouts. “The witness will testify that Senzo was complaining about this [being guarded] and he ended up having a s*xual relationship with Zandi because Kelly was away for a long time,’’ said Thobane speaking at court.
