Today in Edenvale, Gauteng, an additional woman has lost her life at the hands of her partner. Palesa, who was 28 at the time, was a victim of these events.

People in South Africa are in disbelief over the tragic event that occurred to Palesa. It is alleged that her boyfriend, Sylvester Roy Mphephu, brutally beat her today and took her to hospital before disappearing. The suspect who is on the run managed to take the deceased to Edenvale hospital and drop her, but unfortunately, she was declared dead due to her injuries. It is very disturbing that women continue to die at the hands of their boyfriends and Gender Based Violence (GBV)

Sylvester Roy Mphephu is wanted by the police in connection with the homicide of his girlfriend, Palesa. Citizens are being asked to be on the lookout for the suspect and to report or get in touch with the police station that is closest to them if they see him.
