Famous gospel performer Ntokozo Mbambo-Mbatha, 37, hails from Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal. When she joined the gospel music ensemble Joyous Celebration at the age of 15, her musical career officially began. In the past Ntokozo was of average height. After being married and having children, she started to acquire weight. The singer admitted that she formerly wore size 40s but that she has made the decision to alter this. According to Ntokozo, wanting to live and be well was her main driving force. She made the decision that in order to see her children’s offspring, she needed to straighten out her act.

She said that she wanted to set a good example for her children so they would understand that even while they are God’s children and should value the spirit, the spirit also resides in a body, which they should also take good care of.
