Meikie apologises to someone she wronged in the past.

Secrets have a way of coming out and destroying some of the most beautiful relationships that took many years to build.

Mantuli and Meikie’s relationship is no different. It was a very strong friendship for a very long time. It was so strong that, they even considered each other as sisters. Their sons also saw each other as best friends and brothers. Unfortunately, all it took was one secret to destroy it all.

 

 

 

The great thing is that, finally; Mantuli has realised her fault in the mess that her and John created. However, the question remains, are they going to able to move past this whole thing and squash their “beef”?

It is no secret that, Mantuli is still very much afraid of Meikie because, she knows exactly what she is capable of. But her sessions with Mrs Kgomo have at least helped build her courage to do finally own up to her mistakes.

Mantuli is a wonderful woman and mother, but her biggest weakness has to be her inability to be accountable. She always blames other people for all the things that have gone wrong in her house, but she hardly ever blames herself.

Look at Pretty’s situation for instance. Instead of trying to talk to her in a matter that could have possibly made ot easier for her get through to her daughter, she opted for giving her an ultimatum. That does not only speak of her failure as a parent to create an environment where her children are able to and seek wise counsel from her without fear. It also speaks of how hypocritical she can be. As a woman who had a child with a man different from the one she was married to, she should have approached Pretty’s situation with some open mindedness without the need to pass judgement. Well, will Mantuli’s apology to Meikie be a turning point? Is she going to start approaching situations differently even when it comes to her children?
