He was born in Tzaneen Limpopo and raised in Midrand where he currently reside.Richie grew up in a musical family and that planted the love of singing.He started being involved in music from a tender age.His date of birth is 27th of July 1994, he is currently 28 years old as of July 2022.He has an angelic voice that can soothe one’s heart.

His father Peta Teanet was known as one of the greatest Xitsonga disco musicians in South Africa.Its nearly three decades after the passing of music icon Peter Teanet and his son is honouring his memory by following in his footsteps.
