Dloz’lami: Sis Thembi teaches that deceased mothers can fight for their children

This was one of the cases that makes me upset, a woman suffering for the sins of her husband. The ancestors seem to believe that taking it out on her was the only valid way to to get their point across about this man abandoning his outside children.

However in the midst of all that we were all given an important lesson by Thembi. She explained that due to the neglect, the late mother, was fighting for her child. The man had not even paid damages for them or introduced them to his ancestors to acknowledge their existence.

A final user wrote, “The father has to do right by his kids ukuze idlozi lizo khona ukuba khanyisela (in order for the ancestors to be able to shine the light for them). #DlozLami”

It didn’t strike me as surprising at all that a mother would be battling for her child. It is what we know mothers to be, the first line of defense for their children. Of course not even death could get in the way of the protectiveness. I hope this man does the right thing for the sake of his family.
