Game Changer|| Will Nomusa Dube Become The 1st Woman To Lead KZN ANC This Weekend?

Nomusa Dube Ncube is seen as the game changer and is expected to write history if she is elected as the first woman chair to chair the ANC KZN, when the elective conference take place this weekend. Nomusa is contesting among other heavyweights, which includes Sihle Zikalala, Nomagu Simelane, Sandile Zungu, Mdumiseni Ntuli and Bheki Mtolo. Many of her supporters have seen Nomusa as the ideal candidate for the position of the chairperson.

She is expected to create jobs for and also improve living conditions. Dube Ncube is the currently the provincial treasurer of the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal. For the chairperson position she has received approval from different regions as the most preferred leader and now nominated to be the next leader of the province. Born and bred in KwaMashu, Nomusa was mentoned by leaders such as Harry Gwala, Dorothy Nyembe and Linda Zama. She also participated as an underground operator during the liberation struggle at a very young age. At the time she was confronted by forces of the apartheid regime.

 

 

 

 

She was never intimidated by anything and she managed to engage in mass based mobilisation campaign that helped topple the apartheid government. In preparation for the transition to a democratic government, Nomusa and other leaders were sent to other countries, such as Netherlands where she was trained in leadership and constitutional governance. In the team which she was with they were taught how to draft the local Government Chapter of the country’s Constitution. Her experience is so much visible and cannot go unnoticed. He portfolio can be traced back when she served as a provincial ANC Treasurer for two terms and also the chief Whip of the party’s legislature.
