ANC womens league stand with Sithelo Shozi instead of MaMkhize after allegations of abuse

In the wake of Andile Mpisane and Sithelo Shozi’s woes, the ANC Women’s League has publicly weighed its support for Sithelo Shozi in her daring allegations of abuse against Shauwn “MaMkhize” son Andile. Sithelo pulled a shocker when she dropped a bombshell about how she was abused whilst living with the Mkhizes. The women’s wing stated after the DJ accused the Royal AM chairperson of reportedly assaulting her during their relationship.

Mamkhize

No doubt hot on the heels of this, MaMkhize issued her statements countering the charges leveled against them. She revealed that she would engage her lawyers in accessing the false and defamatory allegations. Taking to their social media platforms, the ANC Women’s League pledged allegiance to Sithelo. Their post reads: “We believe Sithelo Shozi. Enough is enough”

However, in the mix, a host of organizations have also rallied behind Sithelo, and it doesn’t look well for Andile and Shauwn Mkhize. These organizations include Gender-Based Violence (GBV) NGO Women For Change. Well, in the mix of things to save his face and share his side of the story, Andile released a series of dockets of protection orders he applied against Sithelo. The case has since become a typical reality show.

Trouble in Durban Palace! MaMkhize’s business ties suffer a knock as ANC Women’s League pledges support to Sithelo

Well, Mzansi has been wondering what will happen next since MaMkhize is already taking the fall, and her business seems poised for a knock after ANC seemed to have peddled for her cancellation.

MaMkhize ties with the ruling party ANC

It’s not a secret that the Mkhizes are one of the ANC darlings and have ties with the party. Parents of Shauwn Mkhize, Florence, and Sipho, were ANC big wigs and also celebrated anti-apartheid activists. Florence was an ANC councilor in eThekwini. However, MaMkhize’s granddaughter, Sithelo’s firstborn, named after her, is of interest. Years ago, News24 reported that the funeral of MaMkhize’s mother in 2008 was an “ANC affair”.

The publication also hinted at Mamkhize (formally married to Sbu Mpisane) having business connections with the ANC, despite criminal charges lodged against her. It stated: “The black, green, and gold turnout does, however, hit at a depth of the political relationships into which Mpisane has tapped to generate business valued at R1.1billion from the local and provincial government since 2005. This despite a series of criminal charges and a tax-fraud conviction in the same year”.

MaMkhize also recently fuelled commentary that she and former Minister of Health Zweli Mkhize are related after posing an Instagram post. However, in the mix of things, it seems as if the ANC is distancing itself from MaMkhize, which means her business ties have been compromised. Well, this takes a knock on her million rand tenders and dealings with the party. She is slowly facing cancellation. Could this be her fall?
