Nqobile Nunu Khumalo wears many hats in the entertainment industry. From working behind the scenes as a producer and director to gracing our screens with her talent, she is definitely the girl she thinks she is. I’m sure most of you know her from Scandal as Hlengiwe (her long standing role of 5 years). She was also casted for a short series that aired on Mzansi Magic titled – Nqobile which followed the life of a young and ambitious woman that was caught between being faithful to her man or embracing being an independent woman. Nqobile has been announced as one of the casts for a Netflix original series that launched yesterday. When interviewed by Sowetan Live, she stated that viewers can expect nothing but intriguing and thrilling acting. Taking place in a small township of Sharpville that has been dominating the history books, Siya (which is her role) stay with her very ailing grandmother. She finds herself in a tricky situation when she falls in love with a tourist. Her affair causes a lot of problems for her overtime.

Describing her time in the industry
As aforementioned, Nqobile started acting at a very tender age of 12 years on Soul City. She went on to win an international award for Best African Actress in Netherlands. On the discontinued Isibaya she took on the role of Cindy which later on opened doors for her to be on Scandal. This shows that passion combined with hard work makes the dreamwork.
