The pursuit for justice is leaving to be a very difficult one in the Elvis Nyathi murder trial.

Nyathi was killed by a mob in Diepsloot after he failed to produce his identity documents which proved that he was legally in South Africa.

 

 
A group of men has been arrested in regards to the crime and they are set to stand trial.

The group of men are currently out on bail and they stand accused of the murder.

But the prosecution team wants Elvis Nyathi’s widow, Nomsa, around so that they can build their case with a solid foundation.

They would like Nomsa to be their state witness as she was present on the day the group of men arrived to assault her husband.

They would like Nomsa to be present throughout the trial but she is still traumatized by what happened.

She returned back home to Zimbabwe and she has never set foot in South Africa again.

Nyathi’s cousin Mphathisi Ndlovu told Sowetan yesterday that Nomsa still fears for her life.

The men accused of killing her husband in an alleged mob attack briefly appeared at the Randburg magistrate’s court yesterday.
