After somebody spotted anything, a snapshot taken from the outside of a gas station circulated on social media and sparked discussion in the comments area.
A closer look at the gas station reveals yet another increase in the price of gasoline and diesel. The prices have been displayed, and the sudden increase has the locals fearing the worst for their country and wondering if the economy will suffer in the same way as other African nations like “Zimbabwe.”
In only a single year, gas prices have jumped more than once. At the current rate of R 26.3 for a litre of gasoline and R 27.30 for a litre of diesel, diesel is now actually more expensive than gasoline.
An individual by the user name of ” Usuthu @ Bheki Nyathi ” felt the need to share this sight with the people on social media.
On the 6th of July 2022 around 6:45 AM , and captioned it ” Welcome to Zimbabwe Lite ” grabbing the attention of the masses at once.
