Will there ever be a day when we don’t hear about a horrible death or the kidnapping of women and children? Because we hear about the death of a woman or a child every time. Now, it’s getting worse because the police are killing even the people whose job it is to protect us. Not too long ago, it was common for a police officer’s husband to shoot and kill her at a hospital.

 
Recently, there was another story about a police officer who was killed by gunfire. Shamielah Arendse, a 26-year-old police officer from the Delft neighborhood of Cape Town, was shot and killed yesterday, June 21. Shamielah had just come home from work and was standing in the street in front of her house when she heard the gunshots. Someone shot her. At this point, it’s not clear if this attack was meant for a specific person or group, and no one has been arrested yet.

Many people were saddened by her death. People want police to do everything they can to find her killer. When a police officer dies, it hurts not only his or her family, but also all of us because we lost someone who would protect us tomorrow. With this, we want the government to do whatever it takes to restore the honor of our police force, because if they don’t, criminals will keep killing our officers.

A police officer is a very important person in society, and they are the ones who give the country its honor. So, anyone who kills or hurts a police officer must go to prison for life.
