We know that the issue of the President and the Phala Phala burglary is currently under investigation as the Hawks have started with their investigations, and they have even approached Arthur Fraser for him to give more evidence to what he had already given to the police in his statement as he opened the case against the president.

 
We know that the video of the burglary has been leaked to the public and people were able to see what transpired even though it was not that clear when it came to stealing the money. In the video, the men can be seen trying to destroy the camera as they were entering the house. We know that the president has admitted that the robbery did happen but the only thing that is on people’s minds is what that kind of money was doing in the house since it was in US dollars, and it was in millions.

It looks like Ramaphosa’s house is just a crime scene as it is now alleged that apart from the millions of US dollars, other money in foreign currency has been found at the president’s Phala Phala farm. The money was in the currency of Botswana, Pula. It looks like there is something more that is happening at that Phala Phala farm. The allegations of money laundering seem to be becoming the truth with every day passing by.

But as the investigations continue, it is now alleged that there is an attempt to try and manipulate the video footage of the burglary at the Phala Phala farm. And the fact that the president seems to be so confident that there was no wrongdoing on his side, is just another issue. He is so confident the same way he was when he went to the state capture commission. And we saw that he was not implicated in that report submitted by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo. But many people seem to think that this tactic will not work as they believe that Arthur Fraser has backup footage in case they try to manipulate the one he gave to the police. If this is anything to go by, it shows that the president is so desperate to clear his name but it might be too late.

There is just too much scandal over the head of the president and it would be a good thing if he just step down for the moment and allow the investigation to continue without any interference. More and more people are now losing trust in the president because of all these allegations. As much as it is not good for him, it is also not good for the country’s image. The people can not afford to have a president who is accused of money laundering at the same time he is the very same person who is preaching how to end corruption in the country, yet he is found to have undisclosed kind of money stashed in his mattress.
