If you’re a regular viewer of the eTV medical drama Durban Gen, you’ll wonder if you ever see doubles. You aren’t, though. Tshidi Makile’s actual birth twin, Tsidiso Makile, is the newest cast member of Durban Gen. Tsidiso appeared on television as Phumzile, Phumeza’s twin sister.
Many viewers assumed that actress Tsidi was portraying both characters. Phumeza appeared to be leading a double life at first. In her marriage, bills began to pile up. After a while, her husband felt she was overspending; viewers watched Phumeza visibly unhappy and crying over what was going on in her life, which she didn’t understand.
After some time, we realized the show features two characters rather than one. One person playing two characters is nothing new in the television and film industries. This was demonstrated when Themba from Ses’Top La portrayed both himself and his sister Jumaima at the same time. Tyler Perry portrays both himself and his aunt Madea in Tyler Perry’s Madea franchise.
How Phumzile Got Introduced
Calvin was taken out to lunch by Phumeza’s husband, but when it came time to pay, his card declined. The former detective conducted research after the car was towed and debt collectors stormed their home. Phumzile was caught on camera shopping till she passed out. Phumeza had no idea she was pregnant at the moment, but she tried to reassure her husband. Phumeza cried as she reflected, and she imagined she sleepwalks on occasion.
How The Twins Were Spotted
Calvin caught Phumzile in public with a man getting cozy. Calvin approached her and inquired as to why she had cheated on her husband. Phumzile abruptly dismissed him. Her husband went through a similar ordeal.
How The Truth Came Out
Phumzile was sent to the Durban General Hospital. Her spouse tried to communicate with her, but she was unpleasant. Her spouse was taken aback and asked why she talked to him like that. The real Phumeza appeared out of nowhere in the ward and passed out when she spotted her identical twin.
