She decided to join the pop-funk Midnight Uzo, whose real name is Sikhumbuzo Mazibuko, she already has a single called One Night which was released and can be found at music stores countrywide. Mazibuko revealed that music is her passion hence she decided to do it and wants to make a living out of it. Her mother Bathabile Dlamini was the former minister of Social Development and was recently disbanded by the ANCWL. Midnight Uzo was surprised to see that her mother supported her on her career path, and also the fact that she wanted to make a living out of it.

 

 

 
Mazibuko said she went to register for politics but changed her mind at the last minute. She said she is very happy that Bathabile is behind her all the way. Midnight Uzo began to sing at church in the choir when she was a child. She holds a bachelor’s in Music honors. Even though she pursued music as her career Midnight Uzo also believes in education and when she speaks it shows that she is very clever.

Midnight Uzo also revealed that she tries to use her means to get what she wants and avoids using her mother’s famous name. Though some people sometimes think she uses her mother’s name to get things or favors, once they do that they treat her unfairly. She believes she is one brave woman who can stand on her own. She also likes to fight for human rights as everyone has a right. Her wish and desire is that people would accept her and also enjoy her music. Being a child of politicians like Bathabile Dlamini can be stressful as the daughter must be fighting with people who criticize her mum and many other things.
