Siphesihle Mntungwa says the pressure brought about by the passing of his fight adversary Simiso Buthelezi on Tuesday in Durban has made them ponder self destruction.

Buthelezi passed in an emergency clinic two days after he endured head wounds in the tenth and last round of the session against Mntungwa on Sunday.

“I went under weighty analysis and put-downs via virtual entertainment stages when Simiso was hospitalized; it has taken another level since he has died,” Mntungwa said.

 

“I can’t withstand anything else. One thing is left for me – I will commit suicide,” said the 27-year-old warrior from KwaXimba, Cato Ridge, close to Pietermaritzburg.

“Indeed, even my neighbors have posted revolting messages about me via virtual entertainment. I’m at this point not protected. I didn’t kill Simiso; we might have been engaged with a boxing battle yet it was anything but an immeasurably significant issue.

Coach Mmeli Mkhize vowed to look for proficient assistance for Mntungwa.
