Musician Kelly Khumalo has finally revealed why after being booked to perform at EFF rally, she ended up walking off the stage.

 

 

 
She said the red berets are not the type of audience she had envisaged as they were tense even though she tried to change atmosphere.

“They are all about war everything that the EFF represent is about fighting,” she said.

Khumalo who had accepted the gig when questioned why she agreed to perform if she does not believe in what the red berets represent, she said performing is her work and she doesn’t have to belong to the party to accept the gig.

“For me work is work. I’m just going there to work and not to support anything. I was just booked as a musician and I went to perform,” she said.

The red berets are however not happy with Kelly Khumalo’s utterances and said she has got such a nerve to walk off the stage after pocketing money from the EFF.

“This is what Kelly Khumalo said about the EFF after chowing EFF money, we’re surrounded by snakes,” said the EFF member.

The red berets are bringing this up at a time Senzo Meyiwa’s case is in progress, and the defense attorney is fighting tooth and nail to have Kelly Khumalo charged for allegedly killing shooting Meyiwa.

Kelly’s lawyer seem to have opened a can of worms when she said those guys arrested were never identified by those who were inside the house.

Critics now argue that this means Kelly Khumalo’s lawyer agrees with the defense advocate Malesela Teffo that the accused in the dock were framed.

They argue Kelly Khumalo’s lawyer might have scored an own goal.

“As her lawyer, she should have never said that.”
