” No signs of suicide?”. Was the late Gomora star killed? This is what the family is waiting for

When the people you love seeing on television screens depicting their magnificent acting skills die you feel like it is a joke at first until there’s confirmation that they are no more. Few days ago Mzansi was shattered after hearing that the late Gomora star, Siyabonga Zubane has passed away. The deceased played a role of ‘Sdumo’ on ‘Mzansi Magic’ telenovela.

Siyabonga’s colleagues lamented for him. Siphesihle Ndaba who played the role of MaZet is one of them. They also couldn’t believe that he passed away for he was still so young with a bright future ahead of him.

Lately, the family of the deceased said they don’t believe he committed suicide because there were no signs of suicide. They are waiting for the post-mortal results of the 23-year-old’s death.

A post-mortal is the examination to determine the cause of death. The young star was found in bed unresponsive at his rental home in Soweto. The death of this actor broke many souls. Lungelwa Hela who is Gomora’s executive producer is one of the people who are having a difficult time processing his demise. She paid tribute to Siyabonga via an Instagram post.

“Immensely gifted. He took a role that was meant to only be in story for a few calls, and he made it into a solid two years’ worth of work, and still counting. His approach to work was with a child like wonder. He was always excited. Always couldn’t wait to perform. Always gave his best and it showed”, she posted.

Post-mortems are sometimes requested by hospital doctors to provide more information about an illness or the cause of death, or to further medical research. Sometimes the partner or relative of the deceased person will request a hospital post-mortem to find out more about the cause of death.

A post mortem examination is important in order to ensure that justice is served in respect of the deceased, the accused, the next of keen, and the respective insurance companies. It is important as a tool to establish the cause of death and to determine the contributing factors.
