Actor Siyabonga Zubane who played the role of Sdumo on Gomora dies after committing suicide. Siyabonga is famous for playing a prominent role in Gomora, Mzansi Magic telenovela. The Sdumo character in Gomora is a thug whose services are available to the highest bidder; he worked with his partner in crime, Brains. Sdumo and Brains terrorized the Gomora community, playing with school-going girls, a syndicate funded by Phumlani.

Over the Gomora storyline, Sdumo, under the instruction of Don Buthelezi, was sent to terrorize Don’s family, a mission that ended up in tragedy after they shot Ntokozo. Sdumo and Brains have a cat-and-mouse relationship with MaSonto’s hijacking syndicate; Don’s death exposed their camp to hostile takeovers.

Inspired by Warren Masemola, Vuyo Dabula, the late Menzi Ngubane, and Israel Matseke Zulu, Sdumo remained grateful for working alongside one of his idols on Gomora production.

The family of Siyabonga Zubane has confirmed the death of the 23-year-old Gomora actor at his home in Soweto. According to Kgothatso, his baby mama, she arrived in Soweto to find that Sdumo had passed away.
