Following an alleged attack and use of a weapon against a City Power technician on Sunday night, well-known music producer Chicco Twala and well-known personalities in the entertainment sector were arrested on Monday, May 5, 2022.
Also in writing, he admitted to being detained and said that he had, in fact, pointed a revolver at City power personnel who, according to him, were attempting to remove cable from his possession when he was arrested.
According to him, the gun he used was not a real gun, but rather a toy gun that he used to scare the people away from the house. Twala claimed that his arrest served as proof that he is not above the law of the land throughout his interrogation and detention.
A power outage complaint was being attended to at the time of the event, which occurred outside his Bloubosrand residence and recording studios, which are located in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, in the province of Gauteng, according to sources.
According to the utility, there hasn’t been any electricity in the nearby area since Wednesday morning.
The result is that despite extensive claims that he is supported by high-ranking officials of the administration, it appears that Chicco is not receiving any special treatment as a result of this.
