Sbusiso wanted to be reunited with his mother because he had been abandoned from a young age with his paternal grandmother. His own family claimed he was starting to rebel and act out. It wasn’t difficult to understand why it was this way. He hadn’t grown up with his mom.

However, his reaction upon meeting his mother was quite perplexing. He wasn’t glad or even relieved about it. Instead he served a stony silence and looked like he was bitterly disappointed. He didn’t seem pleased to see her and had viewers speculating that he was expecting a rich mother.

Personal Thoughts

This case was more sad than anything to me. Sbusiso clearly expected his mother to be of a certain calibre and she fell short of his expectations. I hope he realised after the fact that he cannot just open the door to close it again. He needs to pursue a relationship with her if for nothing else than for the truth. He was clearly lied to all his life.
