The wife of Jackson Mthembu, who used to be a minister in the presidency, has died. A family member, Artwel Mthembu, said that Thembi Mthembu died at a Pretoria hospital on Thursday morning. “She had been sick for a few weeks, and she died this morning in the hospital.” As we lost Jackson last year, he said, “This has just opened up a lot of wounds.” The former minister died of Covid-19-related problems early last year, and he didn’t live to see it.Jackson Mthembu and his wife, Thembi, are seen on the red carpet at the State of the Nation Address in Cape Town.

Kwezi, their first daughter, killed herself in Cape Town in 2019. Before this week, Jackson Mthembu died, and today, his widow left this world to be with the Lord. In his job as a politician, Jackson Mthembu had to give up his family and everything else in order to serve his country. I hope the country remembers what he did for the country.
