Wonders never cease to amaze. Kwaito legend Zola 7, born Bonginkosi Dlamini, makes headlines for the wrong reasons. In the wake of his much-talked-about return, Zola 7 has been implicated in scamming case with an event organiser Queen Kay.

Confirmed reports show Queen Kay booked Zola 7 for the Sophiatown event hosted at Rio Klerksdorp. The two have had a fallout over a booking slated for 16 April despite being friends. It has been confirmed that Zola 7 was given a downpayment of R10 000 but is now changing goalposts.

Against the backdrop of her payment celebrated event organiser shared a series of posters on the event. However, Zola pulled a shocker and distanced himself from the vent in the mix of things. Zola boldly denied being part of the event and even took a swipe at the promoter; the Kwaito sensation posted:

“I know nothing about this event… I was not paid but I see there’s already a poster in circulation. If you attend this event to see me, do not waste your time. Andizi #namanje,” he wrote in response.

However, the event organiser has it that the amount was paid and has proof of payments as evidence. She revealed to the Daily Sun that she’s been communicating with Zola via WhatsApp, and they had even met before the scandal.

“Zola and I have been communicating since last year via WhatsApp. When he was reportedly going through a rough time, I visited him this year. So when I organised the event, I contacted him and agreed I’d pay R10 000 for his performance. After making payment, I shared the poster, and that’s when the problem started,” she told the publication.

To make matters worse, Queen Kay has it that Zola told indicated that he lost his SIM card but had been in touch using the same number.
