End of the road: Legandary presenter leaves SABC and the channel bids farewell

End of the road for SABC radio station presenter as he has officially left the public broadcaster.

In just a few months after he joined the SABC radio station to replace a veteran and legendary sport broadcaster, Robert Marawa on Metro FM, Thomas Mlambo has called it quits.

The SABC confirmed in the statement they released that Thomas Mlambo who was presenting a sports show on Metro FM weekdays, has departed from Metro FM and even SABC at large.

Mlabo was one of the top SABC top sporting radio and TV anchors. Any show he presented on sports was incredible. When he became the host of Sports Monday on SABC 1, he attracted many fans just the way he presented that show on Monday evenings.

The magic he use to make on SABC will be greatly missed on.

He also presented the show on SABC that was a flagship sport football review, Soccerzone and the late-night Sports @10 which I have revealed and even Laduma.

With all the achievements he has had for SABC, Mlambo decided to quit SABC in order to pursue other interests.

While Mlambo was working at SABC, he hosted a number of sports events which includes the SA Sports Awards and even the PSL awards.

With all the achievements, Mlambo has decided to quit SABC in order to pursue other interests.

He had lot of knowledge about sports and remained a consummate professional and role model of South Africans who had lot of enjoyment with his incredible knowledge of Sports.

His exit was confirmed by the SABC head of Sport, Gary Rathbone.
