Potholes are a serious frustration for many road users in South Africa. Several drivers have in numerous occasions lashed out at the government after their vehicles were damaged due to the bad state of South African roads.
On Thursday, Media Personality, Anele Mdoda became victim of the state of the country’s roads when her car was damaged as she was driving to work. “Pothole just took out two of my tyres. This is getting annoying I won’t lie @MbalulaFikile,” Anele said as she also tagged Transport Minister, Fikile Mbalula. Mbalula immediately asked Mdoda to DM him, which we assume she did.
A few hours later, Mdoda announced that the spot that took her down “is getting fixed as we speak”…”And I ran into a few on my way back from kyalami and a few along Willem Nicol. I don’t know who to thank? I think it’s the lot from Dial Direct and Discovery. Whomever… thank you,” she added.
We are certain that Mr Fix It AKA Fikile Mbalula pulled some strings and got the potholes fixed.
“This is exactly my frustration, I’ve been complaining about a road in Bizana that was poorly build by Murray&Robert’s. Never got acknowledgement of the complaint. I guess I’m not a celebrity, I can’t DM ,only celebs have rights to raise voices. Let celebs only vote,” a tweep said.
Maybe Anele should run for President…she managed to get Mbalula to get working. Bravo girl!
