We think each and every Era has its National treasure and that is someone whom we deem to have had such an inspirational impact on our growth and general perspective on life, for the 80’s and 90’s babies we grew up glued to our screens every other night watching Zola7 make our peers’ dreams come true, he got so many people off the street, he saved so many lives and in simple terms he made things happen for our youth then.
The most tragic happened this week when a video of the Kwaito star emerged and he looked like he had lost so much weight and was not well kept, soon after the video speculations that the star has reached rock bottom and is struggling financially started making rounds, in any event we would have thought this is not so touching as we are all not foreign to financial struggles, however, it is rather heart breaking to see someone who did so much for the country and fought for others to be in such a position.
Fans were broken and therefore started a collection drive for the star and many were more than willing to help, however, this came to a stand still as no one was able to get his contact details or account details and from past experiences we know that it is not highly recommendable to make donations through a third party as the money may never reach him at all.
Recently, a Facebook page bearing the star’s name emerged and provided the star’s banking details, however, fans are a bit more skeptical and are further waiting for the star to be the one to come forth and confirm that these banking details are indeed his.
In the mean time, news of the star’s struggles continue to cause a stir as Nota Baloyi also alleged that the rapper has seven kids and at this point, he is struggling to provide for any of them.
This is honestly such a tragic and we hope that those who are close to the star will inform his of the public outcry that has emerged on twitter and further attempt to reach out and receive help from his fans.
