RIP: Mzansi in tears as legendary actor commits suicide, he was in champion in these fields

There are some people who are known for living for others and they become champions in many fields. All these fields they will be championing will mainly be for the benefit of others.

When such heroes die, the rest of the nation gets in tears as they leave a void which no one else can fill. This is exactly what happened on the 22nd of January 2022.

One of the nations most decorated actors sadly lost his dear life. This man was named Patrick “Jita” Shai. Shai has starred on countless productions over the years and is best known for productions such as Bophelo ke Semphekgo, Soul City, Generations, Ashes to Ashes and most recently, The River.

He was known for many things he excelled in which includes the below listed.

1. A champion of Gender Based Violence.

2. Champion of Mental health.

3. Always walking tall and smiling.

4. Invited to speak in Man’s gatherings .

On twitter, a harsh tag is now trending as condolence messages are pouring in to his family which goes by #RIPPatrickShai .

It was however noted that Shai also had his challenges which men in South Africa must draw lessons from. He was a heavily burdened man and that is being partly rumoured to have contributed to his death.

According to Sunday World, Shai is said to have committed suicide while he was at his home in Soweto. At the moment, the police are at his house retrieving his deceased body.

It is a lesson to all man that we should all work more smart on ourselves especially regarding mental health issues.

Each one of us should first get our house (mind) in order and then go out there and take care of everyone. Too much responsibility is known to overwhelm many and lives are being lost prematurely.
