Janusz waluz made headlines earlier last week after he applied for a bail and seeked an admission to talk to the wife of Chris hani hoping that she will feel some sympathy for him as she doesn’t seem to feel sorry for him.
The polish international who got arrested for the murder of April 1993, wrote a bail application claiming that he has reformed and rehabilitated during his time in prison. According to IOL Walus credits his Catholic belief for changing his ways and alleges that he has made attempts to express his remorse to Hani’s widow on numerous occasions.
However Chris Hani’s wife doesn’t seem to buy whatever Walus is selling. She then claimed that the polish international doesn’t show remorse for killing her late husband in 1993 and he should not be granted parole.
She submitted an affidavit to the Constitutional court claiming that Walus murdered her husband with the aim of denying South Africa any chance of getting democary.
From her affidavit, she believes that Walus killed her husband just to cause a political distraction and she also believes that he didn’t have any personal reasons to kill her. She also added that Ronald Lamola was right not to grant him parole when he applied last year.
Opinion
I think that the guy has been in prison for a long time and granting him bail won’t hurt. What’s your view about this matter? Do you believe that Walus deserves to be granted a bail? Don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comment section.
