When Rhythm City came to an end, it left many actors and actress with no jobs but atleast some were able to find themselves new homes.
 

 

 

Ishmauel Songo is a South African media personality known for previously being an actor on the mentioned show being Rhythm City. He played the character of a young man, Sabelo who was left with siblings to raise and take care of. He tried by all means to make sure that his siblings always had food on the table even though sometimes he involved himself with criminal activities on the show. Ishmael is now playing a new character of Ntsika on the new show being The Wife that plays on Showmax.

Speaking about bagging the role and the role that he plays, Ishmauel Songo said “The role came at a time when i needed it the most. A production i had been part of for seven years had just came to an end. Honestly, it was God’s timing and i couldn’t be happier. I was at the lowest point in my life as i was uncertain of what I’d do next”.

“A lot of people auditioned for this role but i am the one who is here today and that is God’s doing. I brought my own elements to the character. I changed his walk, dyed the hair and made him a bit of a comic.I believe he will capture people’s hearts as he is going to bring that balance as the other brothers are quite serious”.

It is good that Ishamuel’s talent was recognised by the production team of The Wife and rescued him when he did not known his next move. There are still actors and actress from Rhythm City that came to an end without TV roles. He was able to get a new role and it is not because of luck, it is only because of his hard work that continues to be recognised and his ability to entertain viewers keeping them glued up on television screens at all times.
