UKhozi FM presenter Mzokhona “Mzokoloko” Gumede, says the change he has made in broadcasting does not mean that he has run out of money. She has embraced change and given her time to spend with her family and focus on her business.
Mzokoloko was dropped from the midweek program and given one on Saturday night. The program was launched for two years when radio made changes in April this year.
He is currently a technical producer, on Nongcebo McKenzie’s talk show on a midnight week and enters his music World Party on Saturday night.
“Everywhere you look today, the tide of protectionist sentiment is flowing. I found time to spend with my family. Now I take the children to school and pick them up in the afternoon before I go to work. Even in business I have enough time. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to broadcast important programs anymore. Wherever the opportunity arises I would appreciate it because it is not over for me in broadcasting, ”said Mzokoloko, who previously hosted the morning show on Gagasi FM.
Recently, he released the song Ngiyakuthembisa which he shared with Dr Moruti, starring Khanyo Sokhela. He said the song has the rhythm of wedding music and piano. Available on iTunes and elsewhere.
“I did it because I saw that it was the beginning of December and there were many weddings. The beat of the stairs and the playground is also played. ”
He said Khanyo is a Newcastle musician, whom he mentions in music but at his company Black Aux Records rather than Afro Pop’s Mthoko Mlatha, who will be releasing his work soon.
He has revealed that he will be releasing a comedy album Adventures Volume 1. He previously made a radio comedy called The Adventures of Gumede which he said he would perform on this album.
“I have sent it, it has to go into online music stores. I think it could be something next week. ”
