Mr. JazziQ answers to charges that he sacrificed Mpura and Killer Kau – Rea Gopane in hot water. JazziQ has spoken out regarding the claims leveled against him in a recent episode by podcaster Rea Gopane. The amapiano celebrity has stated that he would sue the podcaster for allegedly defamatory statements. JazziQ’s legal team issued an official statement on Thursday, denying Rea’s accusations that the amapiano DJ was involved in the deaths of Mpura and Killer Kau, who died in an accident in August of this year.
“The charges are void of any reality and are hurtful,” the statement said. “The circumstances surrounding Mr. Manyoni’s behavior and whereabouts, as described by Mr. Reatlegile Gopane, are concerningly wrong.” The statement goes on to say that they submitted a letter of demand to Rea and the show, demanding an apology and that they were escalating the situation through various “legal remedies accessible” to JazziQ.
This follows Rea’s previous disparaging remarks about him on his podcast Everything South African Music. “The whole entertainment world overlooked JazziQ’s sacrifice of Mpura and Killer Kau… for the sake of his career.” When I saw him, it reminded me of how the Woza music video came out after everything had transpired. Why were Mpura and Killer Kau in the music video despite the fact that they aren’t on the song? And then, like, the day after they died, he departed for Ghana. “All I’m saying is that we’re not reading between the lines,” he asserted.
Not only did he stop there he further went ahead and said JazziQ, did not attend both of their funerals since he was on tour all over the world. “The day after they died, he flew to Ghana…” “So you think the ritual was done there,” Rea said, before his co-host Blvck Steph, who virtually sprang out of his seat when Rea made that audacious claim, interrupted.
