A few years ago, the former Miss SA married gospel singer Khaya Mthethwa, the winner of Idols. This couple’s Zulu wedding ceremony had a more modern feel to it than a traditional one. Ntando wore a white traditional dress with brown, white, and gold beads as an accent.

Longtime boyfriend Steve Meyer, whom the actress met on Facebook, married the actress in 2011. It was still possible for the two of them to have a traditional white wedding ceremony even though they were an interracial couple. Because of the black and white colors, Linda and Steve’s outfits looked more like traditional Xhosa clothing.

Rapper Kwesta tied the knot with his longtime love, Yolanda, the mother of his children. A music video for Kwesta’s song “Khethile Khethile” was made in honor of their special day. Following their wedding, Yolanda and Kwesta changed into traditional Zulu and Swati outfits. Yolanda wore an orange traditional dress to their Umembeso (gifting ceremony).
6. Lerato Kganyago
Thami Ndlela, a billionaire businessman, married radio and television personality Lerato in a private ceremony. Her green and gold traditional wedding gown, designed by Gert-Johan Coetzee, was all she shared on Instagram, even though she didn’t share the entire event.
