Chomee’s real name is Thulisile Madihlaba. She was once the most well known Kwaito musician, choreographer, and dancer in South Africa. She used to be called Queen of Dance by her fans. She was mostly known for her dance moves when she performs. She started dancing for Arthur Mafokate at a very young age.
Arthur then groomed her until she was old enough to do things on her own. There were rumors at some point that they were dating, but they both never admitted to it. When Arthur moved on to promote other new artists under his record label, Chomee became scarce. She has not been seen or heard for a while now.
In 2019 we got to learn that she became the South African Arts and Development Association (SAADA) board member on the Moshito music conference and exhibition. She was nominated by 999 Music boss Arthur Mafokate who runs SAADA.
Chomee is not that active on her social media platforms, and therefore there is not much that she posts about her current life. She only posts things once in a while. She has not made an appearance in a while now, and it seems as though nobody really knows what she is up to. There were also unconfirmed rumors that she’s down and out, and had moved back to her parents’ home. She once entertained South Africans, and should therefore be honored while she’s still alive.
She made headlines earlier this year after Daily Sun wrote about how she the allegedly benefited from the misuse of R300m in Covid-19 relief funds managed by the National Arts Council (NAC).
Daily Sun reported that Arthur and other members of the Mafokate family were alleged to have received funding, together with xompanies that are directly and indirectly linked to Arthur had allegedly received funding from the NAC. She last posted her own pictures on Instagram Months ago, but mostly posts about work, or promotion Owami’s work.
