The South African media personality and choreographer Somizi Mhlongo has had to say her final goodbyes to her older sister. This came as a shock since he shares most of the things that happen in his life. However, this time around he decided to wait until everything was completed to share the unfortunate news about his sister. On Friday morning, Somizi took to his Instagram to reveal that he recently laid his sister; however, he didn’t share her pictures. All he shared was certain moments within the ceremony that was attended by family and close friends. And the former Idols SA judge made sure that he shows gratitude towards everyone that attended his sister’s funeral. “Let me take this time to thank everyone who came through – the messages, friends and relatives,” said Somizi on his Instagram page.

This was his mother Mary Twala’s firstborn, however, Somizi withheld her name from the public. As he stated that he was a private person and wanted everything to be kept that way. So Somizi was honouring her late sister’s wishes by keeping many things discreet. Except for the numerous pictures that showed a glimpse of people that were in attendance and surroundings. “She was a very private person and her wish was [sic] that her sendoff [should] be just that. And we made sure that we grant her that. It was a peaceful dignified sendoff,” said Somgaga on his Instagram page.

One thing is for sure, not much is known about Somizi’s siblings and even the rest of his family. As they’ve chosen to live private lives and let Somizi enjoy the limelight. As he’s an entertainer who has stamped his authority within the entertainment industry. Some of Somizi’s family members were seen at his marriage, as they went to show support to the former Metro FM DJ. We would like to send our deepest condolences to the Mhlongo family and friends during these trying times.
