She graduated from St. Thomas Training Institution with a diploma in nursing.

Years later, she became a dental educator at a dental care school. Her grandaughter Noluthando Maleka influenced her acting career, she admitted once. On Yizo Yizo, Noluthando Maleka is well known for his role as Dudu.

“I recall bringing Noluthando to her first audition for a Stork margarine commercial when she was three years old. “I never aspired to be an actress and had no experience with the craft,” she admits.

“When I went to the set of Soul City with her, the director asked if I could do some extra work for them. “I didn’t think twice about it; I went ahead and did it, and they enjoyed it,” she says.

The rest, as they say, is history after being a part of the Soul City cast. Her appearance on Soul City catapulted her into the spotlight. Her acting career has spanned decades, and she is a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.

She was one of the most sought-after actors after her appearance on Soul City. She landed a role on Muvhango in 1997, as Edward Mukwevho’s counselor.

She moved on from Muvhango to Isidingo before landing a job on City Ses’La. However, after joining and Zabalaza, her sta was short-lived.

After her terrible withdrawal from Zabalaza, she made an unexpected comeback on Generations. Yes, she was a regular on Generations, but she was only a guest actress on the second-most-watched drama series.

Despite her long acting career, the lead actress is one of the cast’s lowest paid members. Despite being the lowest paid, we can all agree that her take-home pay is justified given her amount of time on set.
